Grade 7: Short Story Unit Test Thursday, December 20th, 2018

As we prepare for the winter break, we will also be finishing our short story unit. Students have already written their own short story about an experience with a genie. Students will now be asked to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of their short story analysis skills on our unit test.

The test will comprise of: defining short story vocabulary terms, reading and analyzing a short story, identifying examples of literary devices, labeling and explaining a plot diagram, and answering a few questions about the two stories we have read in class (The Lottery and Names Nombres).

Students will have time this week in class to study, create flash cards, and ask clarifying questions. We will also participate in a Kahoot Review session at the beginning of next week.

Attached you will find the review sheet for the unit test.
