Attached is the link for the movie for those who missed class. We currently watched the first 40 minutes of the film. Please skip minutes 38:40 and 39:15 for coarse language.

All students should be up to Pg. 80 at this point. If you have not yet finished this section of reading…please catch up! During during tomorrow’s class students are being asked to complete two tasks. You can complete both of these assignments in a Google Doc entitled: Lord of the Flies Packet

  1. First students will complete the vocabulary chart attached below. You will be responsible for looking up and defining the vocabulary terms for chapters one through four.
  2. Secondly, you will look back throughout the chapters we have read thus far to complete the document that describes the setting. Students should be focusing on how the boys set up the island to create a civilization. (Think about it…What is a civilization? What does it typically look/feel like?)

Here is an electronic copy of the document I shared with you on Friday. This document gives you description/examples of various parts of speech.

Remember: Grade 7 you will not need to know preposition, conjunction, or interjections. Instead you will need to be able to determine the difference between a sentence and fragment.
